Keeping Kids Safe with Church Activities

We all know that one of the best ways to keep young people off the streets and away from a life of crime, it to give them a positive place to spend their time. What better place for impressionable young individuals to spend their time, than church? Some churches offer a daily place for children of the community to spend their free time, while others spend time with the young people of the community through organized church outings.
If your church can afford to have someone there for the children at all times that is wonderful. However, most community churches do not have the funds to pay to have the heating and air on all of the time and most members of the church have prior commitments. In cases such as these, perhaps you could open the doors to the young people of the community once a week or even just once a month. Some church activity is better than none at all.
Another good idea to keep young people active in the church is to offer regular scheduled church outings as often as possible.
